Overview

Literature is the reflection of society, its culture, values and traditions through the medium of language. The Department of English sprouted its roots in the year 2014. The department offers UG and PG programme in English Literature. PG program was established in the year 2017. The central objective of this programme is to enrich our students with communication and reading skills in English. English department is a guide to those who want to explore the world of literature. We provide intensive mentoring to our students both in and beyond the classroom in a wide variety of forums. The Department plays an active role in the co-curricular activities of the college. Every year, English department plays a leading role in intercollegiate fests, department fests, tours, webinars and seminars. The department aims to prepare every student professionally fit for placement programmes.

  • Implementing effective teaching and learning process throughout the course.
  • Encouraging students to participate actively in all the Intra and Inter Department Activities.
  • Facilitating cordial discussions between parents/teachers through meets.
  • Classes are dealt with teaching aids using current technology.
  • Students are trained for paper presentations in seminars and symposia.
  • Computer based English Language and Communication training is enrooted through Soft Skills subjects.
  • Several Clubs are formed to develop Creative Skills and to increase the students’ calibre and language proficiency.
